Agricultural Commodities

Supply claims need more than a convincing offer.

Origin, volume and producer access can be material even when the contractual seller is outside Brazil. We investigate the people, entities and relationships supporting the proposed supply.

Discuss a Agricultural Commodities Matter
An offer states a volume. It does not establish that the seller controls that volume.

Map origination and the trading chain.

Identify the originator, producer, cooperative where relevant, trader, seller, broker and exporter. Map which party claims control of product and which party has contracted with the buyer.

Intermediary chains can be commercially useful. The issue is whether each material representation and claimed access point can be supported.

Separate origin, allocation and logistics.

A Brazilian-origin claim, a producer relationship and a current allocation are not the same assertion. Quantity, shipment period, product specification and the basis for availability should be compared across documents.

Public port or logistics information can contextualize a proposal. It does not establish a seller’s booking, title, warehouse stock or exclusive allocation.

Compare the documentary sequence.

Offers, mandates, allocation letters, contracts, origin-related materials, logistics references and payment instructions may be relevant. Identify the issuer and the precise assertion each document makes.

Official corporate records and Siscomex guidance can help establish corporate and trade context. Restricted transaction records must not be assumed accessible or inferred from general trade statistics.

Physical inventory needs appropriate evidence.

The investigation does not turn a photograph, a warehouse reference or a commercial offer into proof of available stock. Physical inspection, testing and title analysis require suitable evidence and expertise.

Reporting identifies which links were corroborated and what still requires producer, custodian, carrier, bank or counsel confirmation.
