Supplier Verification

Brazilian supplier verification for international transactions.

Before relying on a supply claim, understand the company, the representative and the relationship behind it. Your seller may be offshore while the producer, product origin or supporting document is Brazilian.

A producer’s existence does not establish that a particular seller controls a particular shipment.

Separate supplier, seller and producer.

A contracting seller may be a trader rather than a manufacturer or originator. That distinction is not adverse in itself, but it determines what needs to be verified. We identify which entity owns or is claimed to control the goods, which party would export and which relationship connects them.

Company identity, ownership, management, public history and operational indicators are assessed against the role claimed in this transaction, not against a generic notion of legitimacy.

Examine the claimed access to supply.

Producer references, facility details, allocations, shipment claims, export eligibility and origin documents may need to be corroborated. An authorization to discuss supply is different from a confirmed allocation or authority to conclude a sale.

Public information may establish an operational footprint without establishing current stock, quality, availability or seller control. We do not guarantee supply capacity, and we identify where independent inspection or direct producer confirmation is required.

Follow the representative and the documents.

We examine the authority of the people involved, including brokers, mandates, agents and commercial representatives. Changes in the chain, role ambiguity and inconsistent company identifiers are evaluated in context.

The document review can cover offers, contracts, certificates, mandates and banking instructions. Dates, domains, signatories and the transaction chronology are compared across materials rather than reviewed in isolation.

Put the payment request in the structure.

Where relevant, the assessment traces the proposed beneficiary’s documented relationship to the seller and the obligation. An unrelated or newly introduced beneficiary requires an explanation that fits both the documents and the commercial sequence.

Bank-account ownership and instrument authentication require appropriate lawful confirmation. We do not promise access to confidential banking data or substitute for the client’s bank and legal advisors.

A decision-specific scope.

Buyers, importers, procurement teams, trading companies and counsel may need different levels of investigation. We define the decision, the exposure, the material supply claims and the sources that can realistically answer them.

The report separates findings, partial corroboration, inconsistencies and material gaps, including what could not be independently established before the proposed commitment.

Before the first conversation

Questions of scope.

Clear expectations. Explicit limitations.

Do you inspect physical inventory?

Physical inspection is not implied by a standard supplier review. Any inspection or specialist testing must be expressly scoped and supported by suitable access and expertise.

Can this apply when our seller is not Brazilian?

Yes. A Brazilian producer, product-origin claim, facility, document or commercial relationship can make a foreign seller’s proposal a Brazil-linked matter.

Before you take exposure, understand what can be verified.

A confidential conversation about the questions, the scope and the next step.
