Identify manufacturer, distributor and seller.
The relevant parties may include an original manufacturer, assembler, distributor, reseller, exporter and commercial agent. Corporate groups and brands can obscure the legal entity making the commitment.
A Brazil-linked matter may involve goods manufactured in Brazil, a Brazilian subsidiary, a local authorization or documents attributed to a Brazilian company while the seller is abroad.
Test authority and access.
Claims may concern authorized distribution, territory, product origin, stock, warranties or manufacturer support. Authority to market a product does not necessarily include authority to provide guarantees or bind the manufacturer.

Corporate records, distributor letters, offers, contracts, technical certificates, serial or model references and shipping claims may inform the assessment. A certificate’s issuer, validity and actual scope should be checked.
Regulatory requirements differ by product, destination and intended use. The applicable competent authority and current rules should be identified with suitable specialist input rather than assumed.
